CaSIDEC Study

The CaSIDEC study aims to explore how traveling overseas for cancer treatment affects survivors in small Caribbean islands. This study is unique as it focuses on health systems in these often-overlooked regions.

The team has previously conducted the first study on cancer survivors in Saint Lucia. The study will collect detailed information from cancer survivors in six islands: Antigua, Dominica, Grenada, Saint Kitts, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent. It aims to compare the experiences of those who travel overseas for treatment with those who receive care locally.
